A few Fashionable ways to Wrap up

We’re already deep in the midst of winter, and if you’re dressing for the chilly weather, you’ll likely want some scarves in your wardrobe. The simple accessory is often overlooked as something one simply throws on purely for the sake of warmth, instead of something that is worn as a styling item or a trend piece. A scarf can be the center of an outfit and it can take your look from bland to something more fashionable — whether or not you live in subzero temperatures. Here are six looks that we’ve styled for you to take inspiration from this winter.

Bandana

Channel a carefree, visvim or NEIGHBORHOOD-inspired look with a small bandana tied around your neck. Also known as a kerchief, the small piece of fabric can tie together an entire outfit. With its recognizable and familiar paisley print, the piece can be knotted together in the front. If you prefer a more streamlined look, the bandada can be folded and tied in the back for a choker-inspired neckpiece.

Blanket

Rock a Rick Owens-inspired look with an oversized blanket scarf. Not only is this look stylish, but it’s warm and functional for those extra-cold winter days. Simply wrap a large square-shaped blanket scarf around your shoulders and neck. This type of scarf is also multi-purpose, and can be used as a simple shawl or a throw. For this particular look, we paired a blanket scarf with simple Rick Owens shirts. The scarf is so thick that an extra piece of outerwear during the fall is unnecessary.

Outdoorsman

If you’re going for a Pendleton-inspired outdoor look, a large scarf in an earthy tone (think brown, tan, orange or red) is what you’re looking for. Layered between a vest and a jacket, the scarf offers added warmth and coverage for a wintertime bonfire. Additionally, this type of scarf can be worn however you’d like — whether you tie it twice around or just once around your neck. This scarf would look right at home with your flannels as well.

Urban-Inspired

A simple black scarf is an absolute essential in a wardrobe, and it’s made even better with a complementing color on the other side for even more versatility. In this look, we’ve styled it with a Stone Island jacket and a beanie for a simple, urban look.

Sporty

The “lad,” Gosha Rubchinskiy tracksuit-inspired look has definitely made waves around the streetwear circles. So much so that every streetwear brand has its own version of the sporty soccer scarf. Mix it up a bit by layering two different styles on, especially if you’re simply wearing a crewneck sweatshirt or tracksuit.
